Method

  1. Fill the tank with 1 liter of cold filtered water. If you use cone, heat the water at 94 ° C.

  2. Place the paper filter and rinse it with hot water; pull that water.

  3. It grabs 60 g of coffee to medium milling, like sand, and spreads it in the filter. Slowly shake to level.

With cone, wet the coffee first with 120 g of water, wait 45 seconds and pour the rest into tandas.

  4. Put the pitcher in place and turn the coffee machine on. The cycle lasts between 4 and 8 minutes.

  5. As soon as it's over, get the jar off the plate, remove and serve. If it's enough, put it on a thermo.

The hot plate keeps cooking the coffee and bites it in a few minutes.

Tips and warnings

  • SCA certified coffee shops heat water between 92 and 96 ° C and distribute it well; they cost €200-350 (guidance). A basic of €25-60 works well if you respect the proportion.
  • For less cups, keep the ratio: 15 g coffee per 250 g water.
  • Discalcify the coffee maker every one or two months if your water is hard.
  • No drip coffee maker: a Melitta cone (€5-15, guidance) on a pitcher, with the same amounts and water at 94 ° C.
