Method

  1. Heat the water at 95 ° C, or let it rest half a minute after boiling. Watch the press with some hot water and throw it away.

  2. It grabs 30 g of thick coffee, like fat salt, and put it in the press. Put it on the scale and pour 500 g of water at once, wet all the coffee.

  3. Put the cap without lowering the plunger and let it infuse 4 minutes.

    4 min

  4. Break the crusts of the surface with a spoon, stirring barely. Remove the foam and the floating grains with two spoons.

  5. Wait between 5 and 8 more minutes without touching anything: the fine pose falls to the bottom.

    5 min

The longer you wait, the cleaner the cup comes out; inside the jar the coffee just gets cold.

  6. Lower the plunger only to the surface of the coffee, without pushing to the bottom. Serve slowly and leave the last finger in the jar.

Tips and warnings

  • If it tastes watery, it grinds something finer or lengthens the infusion; if it bites, it grinder.
  • Don't leave the coffee in the press once it's served: it's still extracting. Put it on a thermo.
  • No French press: infuse in a jar with the same amounts and hang with a fine colator; for a cleaner cup, pass it on to a paper filter.
  • The glass jar with boiling water does not allow blows: handle it carefully.

One last thing

Lower the plunger gently; you don’t need to press anything to treat us to a Ko‑Fi.
