Superautomatic coffee maker
It grabs, doses, press and extracts when pressing a button. Total comfort with coffee in grain, in exchange for control and some taste.
- Indicative price
- €300–2000
- Capacity
- 1–2 tazas
A superautomatic takes everything inside: a mill, a group that doses and press the coffee and an extraction system. You press a button and an espresso, a long coffee or, in many models, a drink with milk comes out. The used pill falls into a drawer.
Use coffee in grain, so it's cooler than the capsule. But control is limited: milling, dose and temperature are marked by the machine, and the group usually presses less coffee than a professional filter holder.
- In favor: very comfortable, ideal for the office or for houses with many cups a day.
- In favor: freshly ground coffee.
- Against: coffee comes out right, but hardly excellent.
- Against: order regular cleaning and decalcification, and repairs are expensive.
They cost €300-2,000. See that the group can be removed and washed, that the teeth are metallic or ceramic and that the milk system is easily cleaned. Use your means: the very dark and oily end up jamming the mill.
Cheapest alternative: a thermoblock machine with a separate mill.
This coffee bar runs on coffee… literally. And the odd ko‑fi.
