Delete your account

You can delete your Cocinoa account and its data whenever you want, from the website or from the Android app. You do not need to write to us.

How to delete it

1. Sign in to Cocinoa, on the website or in the app.
2. Open your profile (your account menu → "Perfil").
3. At the bottom of the page, under "Eliminar cuenta" (Delete account), press the "Eliminar cuenta" button.
4. Confirm with your password or, if you sign in with Google, by typing your account's email address.

The account is deleted right away and you are signed out. It cannot be undone: if you want to keep a copy first, the same profile page has "Descargar mis datos" (Download my data).

What is deleted

• Your account: name, email address, password, date of birth and the Google connection if you used it.
• Your profile, your preferences, your intolerances and allergies, and your public profile.
• All your content: recipes (published ones included), personal recipes, photos, comments, blog posts, collections, plans, shopping lists and pantry.
• Your phone's identifiers for push notifications.

What is kept

• The consent records (which version of the legal documents you accepted, when, from which IP address and with which browser), for up to 5 years so we can prove it, and whatever the law requires us to keep. Section 5 of the privacy policy explains this.
• Visit statistics, audit logs and error reports are no longer linked to your account. Error reports are deleted once the error has not happened again for 90 days.
• Payments for "no ads" are kept by the payment provider (Stripe or Google Play) under its own legal obligations.

If you cannot sign in

If you forgot your password, you can reset it from the sign-in screen. If you still cannot get in, write to joan.rra2@gmail.com from your account's email address asking us to delete it. We will reply within one month at most.
