Sifon of cream
Pressurised bottle with gas loads to mount cream at the moment or prepare a home "nitro" with cold brew.
- Indicative price
- €30–60
- Capacity
- 0,5–1 l
The cream siphon is a bottle of steel with head and nozzle. It is filled with cream or a cold liquid, closed and loaded with a gas capsule. When it is shaken, the gas dissolves and, when the lever is pressed, a very fine foam comes out.
In the coffee serves to coronate an Irish coffee, an einspänner or a mocha with light cream. Also for a home "nitro": cold brew ready to drink, never filling more than two thirds of the siphon, a load, shake, rest and serve.
- In favor: cream mounted in seconds and always the same.
- In favour: creamy foam for cold drinks.
- Against: each load has its cost.
- Against: it is a pressure container and must follow your instructions.
It costs €30-60, in sizes of 0.5 and 1 l. Choose body and steel head. Use only food gas loads and respect the maximum filling and number of loads indicated by the manufacturer.
Cheapest alternative: a batidor with sticks or a cocktail, with a well cold cream.
This coffee bar runs on coffee… literally. And the odd ko‑fi.
