Method

  1. It grabs 60 g of extra-thick coffee, like split pepper grains.

For a concentrate, use 100 g of coffee with the same 500 g of water.

  2. Put it in the pitcher, pour 500 g of cold water and remove it until all the coffee is wet.

  3. Cover and leave in the refrigerator 16 hours (between 12 and 24). If you leave it at room temperature, between 12 and 18 hours.

    16 h

After 24 hours you can start knowing about wood.

  4. Fail first with a fine strainer and then with a paper filter to remove the finest pose.

If the paper filters too slow, change it in half.

  5. It serves on ice. If you have concentrated, say 1: 1 with water or milk.

  6. Save the rest in a closed bottle in the refrigerator: hold for 7 to 10 days.

Tips and warnings

  • The thick milling is key: with fine coffee the filtering is stuck and the drink comes out cloudy and bitter.
  • Try it only before adding milk or sugar: it is naturally sweet.
  • No cold brew pitcher: a large jar with a lid and a fine pendant do exactly the same; a French press also serves and saves you the first laundry.
  • Use very clean containers and always keep it in the refrigerator: it is a drink that is not heated.

One last thing

Sixteen hours in the fridge without so much as a murmur. Your Ko‑Fi, on the other hand, is ready in a second.
