Mundo Novo is a natural crossing between Tipica and Bourbon that appeared in Brazil. No one designed it in a laboratory: it emerged in the field and the agronomers selected it for its vigor.
It is a tall, strong and productive tree, well adapted to Brazilian conditions. It still occupies many hectares in the country today.
In the cup it gives a coffee of medium body, with notes of nuts and little acidity. It is the classic profile of natural Brazil that is so used in espresso.
- Parents: Typica and Bourbon.
- Famous descendant: Catuai, crossing Novo World with Caturra.
- High productivity, rust sensitive.
If you like unmarked coffee, find a natural Novo World of Brazil. Prepare it in moka, French press or espresso, and try to add milk: it suits you very well. With a city of yours + wins sweetness without becoming bitter.
